NewsNYou is built to be read without being watched. There are no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, and no third-party trackers on this site. This page explains the little that does happen, in plain terms.

What we collect
Directly, nothing. NewsNYou has no sign-up, no login, no contact form, and no comments, so there is no personal information for us to ask for or store. We run no advertising, and we embed no analytics or social-media scripts that would report your visit to anyone.
What your browser stores locally
Two small preferences are saved in your own browser using local storage. They never leave your device and are never sent to us or anyone else:
- Your layout choice — whether you last viewed a listing as a grid or a list (
nm:view). - Your responses — if you use the “what do you think” control on an analysis, your answer is remembered on your device so the page can show it back to you (
nm.vote.…). Nothing is submitted to a server.
You can erase all of it at any time from Cookie settings, or by clearing site data in your browser.
Server logs and hosting
NewsNYou is a static site served by a hosting provider (Cloudflare Pages). Like every web server, the host processes the standard technical details of each request — your IP address, browser type, the page requested, and a timestamp — to deliver the page and to protect the site against attacks and abuse. We do not use these logs to build a profile of you or to identify you, and we do not combine them with anything else. Their handling is governed by the host’s own privacy terms.
Third parties
None are embedded in the pages. Fonts, scripts, images, and data are all served from newsnyou.com itself — there are no content-delivery-network calls, no web fonts loaded from Google, no embedded videos, and no share buttons that would load another company’s code as you read.
Your rights
Because we hold no personal data about you on our side, there is nothing on our servers to export or delete on request. The only data tied to you is the local storage described above, which lives on your device and is entirely under your control. Questions about this policy: [email protected].
Children
NewsNYou is a general-audience publication about world affairs. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
If our practices ever change — for example, if we add an analytics tool or a newsletter — we will update this page and its date first, and say plainly what changed.
